The sheeple are giving up their guns for,,,,,
Sneakers.... :confused_ma::no_ma:
WTF!!! Police: Bring A Gun, Get Free Sneakers Friday, August 17, 2007 2:01:49 PM <!-- AddThis Bookmark Button END --> Local law enforcement is hoping a free pair of sneakers will help them get dangerous guns off the street in their Kicks for Guns program. On Friday, the Orlando Police Department and the Orange County Sheriff's Office are holding their yearly program in which people can bring guns in and exchange them for a new pair of tennis shoes or gift cards. Police said they will take all types of guns with no questions asked. Last year, 116 firearms and 31 pellet guns were collected, including a machine gun, a grenade launcher, several sawed-off shotguns, and three stolen guns. The 2007 Kicks for Guns is taking place at two locations -- the Citrus Bowl on Church Street in Orlando, and the Pine Castle Women's Club on Oakridge Road and South Orange Avenue. Both events will run from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. |

I've got a bunch of old running shoes, and an number of more valuable items.
Maybe I could put an ad on craigslist. Will exchange good condition nordictrack for your gun that you want to get rid of. Ammo also accepted. Additional items are available to trade for your guns. No law against me doing this is there? |
Re: The sheeple are giving up their guns for,,,,,

We would be arrested for terrorists in say...err...two minutes flat. It's a pretty good deal for them financially. Locally, the Sheriff's department sells all confiscated firearms to it's officers and selected political friends of the department at least twice a year. The junkers are sold at private auction to buyers with DEEP POCKETS so it's in their best interest to keep the firearm supply rolling. Common practice in just about every city and state nationwide...they only destroy the junkers for publicity points every now and then for the media circus. Support your local Sherifff...give him a free gun to sell :>) :D:D:D:D |
Re: The sheeple are giving up their guns for,,,,,
I know these tennis shoe/gun swaps sound stupid but I imagine most of the people turning the guns in wouldn't know how to use one anyway.
But I've heard of some very valuable guns being turned in for a $100 gift card too. |
Re: The sheeple are giving up their guns for,,,,,
On a related topic, where is it possible to get a good one...
say... for a pair of sneakers, or some other way that is likewise not so mainstream. |
Re: The sheeple are giving up their guns for,,,,,
Free guns for the war effort. Toys for guns. Sneakers for guns. Gift cards for guns.
Yet nobody knows where they send these free guns. Probably straight to war. |
Raven Arms 25ACP
I wonder what that would bring? I like to go there with a few hundred bucks and buy a few guns being turned in, most are junk but there might be something worthwhile.

Re: The sheeple are giving up their guns for,,,,,
There were paying $100 a gun in Chicago about a month ago. Guys on some of the gun forum were bragging over the thousands of dollars in visa cards they got for the junk guns they turned in. And they truly were junk, rusted out/shut, missing all the internals, obsolete rimfire cartridges. One guy even took a collection from local gunsmiths to turn in guns that were hopeless projects and used the gift cards to buy guns for a youth event at their gun club.

It wasn't tax money. Some unnamed corporation donated the money for this event.

Re: The sheeple are giving up their guns for,,,,,
I heard on the radio some guy brought in a Surface to Air Missle that he "found in a garage".
Apparently Homeland Security cannot interogate him as they are trying to honor the "amnesty" part of the program. He walked away with some size 3 reeboks for his daughter according to the radio report. |

He should have been able to get more than 3 reeboks for that. |
